2026/2027 Soccer Season Tryouts

April 7th - April 17th


 Registration is required to attend.

$10 online registration

$20 walk-up registration*


Players are encouraged to attend both try-out dates.


All tryouts take place at James Baxter Park

Tryout Information


ARRIVAL & PICK UP

  • All athletes must arrive 15 minutes before start time.
  • Check in at the clubhouse to be directed to your field.
  • Please use the only designated parking spaces to park to wait for your child during tryouts. Do not crowd the entryway along the curb next to the fences. This is an emergency entrance and doing so causes a safety hazard.


WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Players will tryout in their age group as outlined above and explained further here.
  • Each session will include multiple scrimmages to assess each athlete during game-related activities. 
  • Tryouts will be run by KOPSC professional staffing with the assistance of volunteer club coaches. Tryout assessments will be conducted by neutral parties.
  • No viewers will be permitted on field sidelines during tryout sessions.


WHAT TO BRING

  • Athletes must be prepared with proper soccer attire, cleats, shin guards, water, and inflated soccer ball.
  • All athletes will be provided a numbered pinnie or shirt for evaluation purposes.


CANCELLATIONS & COMMUNICATION

  • Weather related cancellations will be announced by 4:00PM through Playmetrics.
  • Makeup dates for weather cancellations include April 13, 2026, for the Boys and April 20, 2026, for the Girls; additional dates will be added if needed.
  • Please ensure Playmetrics is set up to receive communications in the event of a cancellation.


PLACEMENT OFFERS

  • Placement and offers will begin within 24-48 hours of the last tryout session of each age group.
  • Please allow 7 days from the last tryout date for us to work through the entire process.
  • Everyone will hear from us.


CONFIRMING YOUR SPOT:

  • Players will have 24 hours to register and make a first deposit to secure their spot once a placement offer is sent. A request for financial aid will hold placement while reviewed.
  • Acceptance is confirmed by completing the registration for the Competitive Academy program.
